Vladimír Vondruš	e699d2eea4	GL: don't assume debug output callbacks are called from the same thread. Interesting that I didn't run into this until testing on Mesa AMD drivers. So far it worked for NV, Mesa Intel, Intel Windows, Android and many more. Heh. Also improved the test to actually verify the user pointer gets passed through correctly and updated the docs to reflect this behavior.	7 years ago

Vladimír Vondruš	9dcaf23389	Split the OpenGL layer out, pt 4: new Magnum::GL namespace. At the moment just the GL library itself w/o the tests, and without backwards compatibility aliases. The following types were left in the root namespace, despite being in the GL/ directory, as they will get moved back soon: * Image, CompressedImage and their dimensional typedefs * ImageView, CompressedImageView and their dimensional typedefs * PixelStorage Not PixelFormat etc., that one will stay in the GL namespace and a completely new PixelFormat enum will be provided in the root namespace.	8 years ago

Had to rework the API a bit, the original one (everything through DebugMessage) should be still available, but marked as deprecated (and will be removed in some future release). The whole cycle of reading up on a feature, understanding the feature, understanding the bigger concept under the feature and then having understood everything so thoroughly so I can document the functionality is time consuming.	11 years ago

In most cases the label is set directly from code, e.g.: texture.setLabel("diffuse-duck"); Avoiding conversion to std::string and passing char(&)[size] directly will avoid one allocation and deallocation. Better solution would be to use std::string_view everywhere, but we're not in C++17 yet.	12 years ago

Everything what was in src/ is now in src/Corrade, everything from src/Plugins is now in src/MagnumPlugins, everything from external/ is in src/MagnumExternal. Added new CMakeLists.txt file and updated the other ones for the moves, no other change was made. If MAGNUM_BUILD_DEPRECATED is set, everything compiles and installs like previously except for the plugins, which are now in MagnumPlugins and not in Magnum/Plugins.	12 years ago

Previously this was done in DebugMarker only via GREMEDY_string_marker on desktop and EXT_debug_marker on ES, now supporting both three on desktop and KHR/EXT version on ES. The old DebugMarker is now only a thin wrapper around DebugMessage, is marked as deprecated and will be removed in future release.	13 years ago

Vladimír Vondruš	b2325dda2f	Support for object labels from KHR_debug and EXT_debug_label. Can't test EXT_debug_label, as that is apparently OSX 10.9-only. Added GL tests for all implemented objects. KHR_debug is selected first, if that is not available, fall back to EXT_debug_label. If neither is available, the functions are no-op. I hope EXT_debug_label gets replaced by KHR_debug later, thus it is now only "emulated" through KHR_debug enums.	13 years ago
Vladimír Vondruš	6ee2745503	Texture-related limit queries. Renamed AbstractTexture::maxSupportedLayerCount() to maxLayers(), which is in fact alias to Shader::maxCombinedTextureImageUnits(). Also renamed Samples::maxSupportedAnisotropy() to maxAnisotropy(). It now has slightly confusing naming, will fix that later. Both original functions are now alias to new ones to retain source compatibility, will be removed in future releases. Also printing the values in magnum-info.	13 years ago

Vladimír Vondruš	a894c434b2	Revert "Caching light position relative to camera." * The light didn't catch camera transformation changes, so it was returning wrong position for most of the time. * The multiplication was in wrong order, it should be multiplied with camera matrix from the left. I need to find an solution for this, because now it is one redundant matrix*vector multiplication per object per frame again. This reverts commit `0443bbe286`. Object::setClean() now computes absolute transformation while traversing through object parents and passes it as parameter to clean(), which is now virtual a meant to be reimplemented instead of setClean(). Accessing matrix elements is now done through column vectors, e.g.: Matrix4 a; a.at(row, col); // before a[col][row]; // now Note that because operator[] on Matrix returns column vector (there is nothing like row vector), the parameter "order" is now swapped.	14 years ago

Vladimír Vondruš	0945c50aa6	Removed "active camera" from Scene. It was overengineered and unnecessarily complicated. Now the camera is specified only in Scene::draw(), which eliminates all the needs for recalculating absolute object transformations on each camera transformation change. Absolute object transformation is now computed relative to root object or relative to camera object passed as parameter. Because of that it is now also possible to draw the scene using multiple cameras at once.	14 years ago
