Using Containers::Pair allows me to make certain Range APIs constexpr
that weren't possible in C++11 before. Compared to std::pair it's also
trivially copyable, which is a nice property when storing it in various
growable containers.
As usual, the <Corrade/Containers/PairStl.h> include is in place to help
people with porting, although in many cases this change will be
breaking. I had to do it at some point anyway, so the earlier it is the
better.
Partially needed to avoid build breakages because Corrade itself
switched as well, partially because a cleanup is always good. Done
except for (STL-heavy) code that's deprecated or SceneGraph-related APIs
that are still quite full of STL as well.
Originally it was just assuming that any Vector3ub or Color3ub is a
normalized format. That was kinda enough for many cases, but it started
to get annoying with sRGB image comparisons, as those had to be
manually reinterpret with a sRGB-less format in order to pass.
Now the pixel format detection looks at the expected image format as
well, and if the underlying type and component count matches, it
inherits the sRGB and normalized property from it as well. If not, it
falls back to an integer format for vectors, and normalized format for
colors. For vectors this is different from previous behavior but
shouldn't cause any problem in practice -- the only result will be that
the image comparison fails with a different message for pixel format
mismatch than before.
This now also properly and fully tests the pixelFormatFor() helper, and
adds a missing Color3 specialization of it.
Integer / packed formats are the majority of uses for this utility, and
for them the additional complexity with NaN and infinity handling isn't
needed at all.
Running ShadersMeshVisualizerGLTest with this change in a Debug build
led to its runtime being reduced by about 35%, the total test time
excluding benchmarks went from 14.5 seconds to 11. Not bad.
Those were temporarily added until Trade::AbstractImporter is ported
away from std::string, and that's done for quite some time already, so
these are no longer needed.
While branching on a compiler is rather common, checking a particular
compiler version should be needed only rarely. Thus minimize use of such
macros to make them easier to grep for.
Basically mirroring the changes done for Corrade::Compare::*File*,
including storing the filenames as string views to avoid unnecessary
copies (and then paying extra attention to not pass temporaries to them
in its own tests).
First and foremost I need to expand the interface to support 3D
image conversion. But the interface was not great to begin with, so this
takes the opportunity of an API break and does several things:
* The `export*()` names were rather strange and I don't even remember
why I chose that name (maybe because at first I wanted to have an
"exporter" API as a counterpart to importers?)
* In addition, there was no way to convert a compressed image to a
compressed image (or to an uncompressed image) and adding the two
missing variants would be a lot of combinations. So instead the new
convert() returns an ImageData, which can be both, and thus also
allows the converters to produce compressed or uncompressed output
based on some runtime setting, without having to implement two
(four?) separate functions for that and requiring users to know
beforehand what type of an image will be created.
* The ImageConverterFeature enum was named in a really strange way as
well, with ConvertCompressedImage meaning "convert to a compressed
image" while "ConvertCompressedData" instead meant "convert a
compressed image to a data". Utter chaos. It also all implied 2D and
on the other hand had a redundant `Image` in the name, so I went and
remade the whole thing. As mentioned above, two of the enums now mean
the same thing, and are both replaced with Convert2D.
* Finally, similarly as changes elsewhere, I took this opportunity to
get rid of std::string in the convertToFile() APIs.
The 32-bit float depth be needed for the upcoming OpenEXR plugin, added
also the remaining ones that will be eventually supported by KTX and DDS
plugins.
Deprecated for 2018.04, it's been almost a year since. Whoever is using
Magnum regularly updated already, and who not can always upgrade
gradually (2018.02, 2018.04, 2018.10, 2019.01 etc.).
It was returning either pixel size or compressed block size, which is
now available directly via other means.
This is a breaking change, but I don't expect these functions to be
used widely beyond Magnum internals.
Too much burden to implement. Nope. Sorry. All APIs were just asserting
that it's not enabled at the moment, so I may as well just remove it
completely.
Currently just does per-pixel comparison and calculates absolute delta,
failing the comparison if max/mean delta threshold is above specified
values. Useful enough for the case I have right now, might fail in other
case -- but still better than whatever else I was using before :)
