Everything what was in src/ is now in src/Corrade, everything from
src/Plugins is now in src/MagnumPlugins, everything from external/ is in
src/MagnumExternal. Added new CMakeLists.txt file and updated the other
ones for the moves, no other change was made. If MAGNUM_BUILD_DEPRECATED
is set, everything compiles and installs like previously except for the
plugins, which are now in MagnumPlugins and not in Magnum/Plugins.
Encourages vectorization and generic usage even more. Some functions
were rewritten to make use of the new features, resulting in shorter and
more readable code. This also fixes the annoying naming collision with
WINAPI Rectangle() function.
The old Rectangle is now subclass of Range2D, is marked as deprecated
and will be removed in future release.
The virtual method is moved to doRenderGlyph(), for plugin implementers
it means that the function only needs to be renamed (and moved to private
section) and plugin version interface needs to be updated.
The common layouting code allows to remove many redundant code from
Renderer and also ability to test cursor position/bounding rectangle
updated properly. Rectangle updating now treats rectangle with zero size
as invalid and replaces it with glyph quad instead of merging the two. It
means that the returned rectangle now wraps the text more tightly and
does not always contain origin.
Got finally pissed with the requirement of setting AbstractFont::_size
manually and took this as opportunity to rework the internal plugin API
in a better way. Bumped the interface version, as this is binary
incompatible. MagnumFont doesn't support lineHeight yet.
MinGW (or Windows at general?!) somehow doesn't expect four-byte
characters in a string and this class fails miserably when freeing
memory. Replaced with std::vector<char32_t>, it's horrendously ugly
solution, but I hope this will be resolved soon with newer MinGW GCC
(4.7.2 fails).
The testing is now slightly more sloppy due to inability to not pass any
Font or GlyphCache object. But it is actually better from user point of
view, as it is now impossible to do that by accident.
Implementation is moved into `do*()` private virtual functions, public
interface is doing additional sanity checks around them. Opening files
is by default done in base implementation, which loads the files into
memory and then calls function for opening raw data.
Added interface for opening multi-file fonts from raw data, default
implementation just calls single-file implementation.
Function for creating glyph cache converts the text from UTF-8 to UTF-32
and then calls the implementation, removing the burden from
reimplementing this in each plugin.
Added unit test for file and single data opening, bumped plugin version
to 0.2.
Font and text layouting is now abstracted out from its implementation.
Font class is renamed to FreeTypeFont and all the work can be done
through AbstractFont and AbstractLayouter interface.
Positions were originally done using Point2D/3D to simplify their
transformation using matrices and to some extent simplify their usage in
shaders. But now the disadvantages exceeded the advantages:
* They take 50% more for 2D positions and 33% more for 3D positions, as
last coordinate is always equal to 1, on the other hand when last
coordinate is errorneously not equal to 1 they have crazy behavior.
* Normalizing them or transforming them with anything else than with
matrices is PITA, as we need to strip the last component, do the
transformation, and then add the component back.
* All transformation handling classes (Complex, DualComplex,
Quaternion, DualQuaternion, Matrix3, Matrix4) now have convenience
functions for transforming points specified directly as
Vector2/Vector3 (and also for transforming vectors).
* When someone wants to use homogeneous coordinates with crazy last
component values, they can do so with plain Vector3 for 2D and
Vector4 for 3D and it will be less confusing than using Point2D/3D
which no important detail hidden.
Magnum.h now doesn't include anything except OpenGL headers, thus
changes in Math library don't trigger recompilation of everything, but
only of things really depending on it.
Math constants moved to separate file for similar reasons, de-inlined
some functions to remove the need for some #includes.
AbstractImporter now provides access to the data directly and doesn't
attempt to do any OpenGL stuff, thus making everything more transparent
and testable.
