Exposes MaterialTools::phongToPbrMetallicRoughness() that got added some
time ago. Most of the code and tests is scaffolding needed for direct
material import and processing outside of the addImporterContents()
automagic, similar to what was already done for meshes and images.
In particular, adding more material conversion options such as
canonicalization or deduplication will be significantly easier now that
the basics are done and tested.
Funny/sad that this possibility took me so long to realize. Until now it
was "you can have command-line utilities or static plugins but never
both", and only with CMake 3.13+ it was possible to link static plugins
to these executables from outside. Now it's a builtin and supported
option.
It was quite a pile, and all of it was written just once, relying only
on hopefully-available model files that would hopefully touch most code
paths. Which means, extremely annoying to make changes in.
I extracted the code to a header that can be tested with a mocked-up
importer and without having to execute the utility itself, deduplicated
the image info printing code, fixed various inconsistencies (such as
data/field flags sometimes denoted with superfluous "flags:" and
sometimes not) and TODOs (such as 2D/3D skins, where there was no format
whatsoever that would have 2D skin support, so the code couldn't get
written).
Now it's finally possible to easily add the remaining missing features,
such as printing camera info.

Wow, this is probably the most backwards-compatibility code I've ever
written. Can't wait until I can drop all that.
It limits the support for CMake 3.12+, but it's much less verbose and I
don't expect people to use ancient CMake versions with IDEs like Xcode
or VS anyway, so this should be fine.
Highly experimental and very assert-y, as it doesn't handle mesh
primitive / attribute type incompatibility or conversion of
loops/strips/fans to indexed meshes yet.
No functional change, just splitting them to two separate headers and
two separate tests. These will eventually become public SceneTools
APIs... once I figure out better naming.
Basically using the same idea as with the discrete version -- having the
second dimension dynamic, together with restricting the implementation to
just Float and Double.
According to the SubdivideRemoveDuplicatesBenchmark, this makes the
implementation slightly slower. I presume this is due to how minmax and
offsets are calculated which is quite cache-inefficient as it goes over
the same memory block multiple times. Added a TODO for later.
Color-coded XY and XYZ axes, cut out of DebugTools::ObjectRender into a
better reusable piece of code. Using the new vertex color functionality
of mesh data.
As with Corrade, this is not exactly backwards compatible, but for
common use case without OBJECT libraries this should not be a problem.
In any case, recreate the build dir and update your copy of all
Find*.cmake modules to avoid weird things happening.
User-facing changes:
* Documentation of all Find*.cmake modules converted to
reStructuredText to follow official CMake guidelines.
* The newfangled way to use the libraries is to link to Magnum::Shaders
instead of adding ${MAGNUM_SHADERS_INCLUDE_DIRS} to include path and
linking to ${MAGNUM_SHADERS_LIBRARIES}.
* The old ${MAGNUM_*_LIBRARIES} are deprecated and now just expand to
Magnum::* target. Use the target directly. These are also enabled
only when building with MAGNUM_BUILD_DEPRECATED.
* The old ${MAGNUM_*_INCLUDE_DIRS} are removed as the Magnum::* targets
cover these too.
Internal changes:
* Global state such as include_directories() was replaced with
target-specific settings.
New in 2.8.9, much cleaner than the previous "solution". Also cleaned up
the surroundings a bit. Fixed cases where PIC was forced independently
of the settings, for plugins the PIC is now also set only when
needed/requested.
Makes it possible to have both debug and release libraries installed. If
both libraries are present when finding the package, proper version is
used based on what configuration is used in depending project.
As we are now using absolute includes, there is no need to prefix
everything with "magnum<Namespace>" etc. All generated configuration
files are renamed to configure.h and their path is included _before_
everything else to avoid accidental collisions.
Everything what was in src/ is now in src/Corrade, everything from
src/Plugins is now in src/MagnumPlugins, everything from external/ is in
src/MagnumExternal. Added new CMakeLists.txt file and updated the other
ones for the moves, no other change was made. If MAGNUM_BUILD_DEPRECATED
is set, everything compiles and installs like previously except for the
plugins, which are now in MagnumPlugins and not in Magnum/Plugins.
No shit. This is usable mainly if some common code expects the
mesh wrapped in MeshData and thus it is better to just have this tiny
class instead of doing it manually.
* Calling enable_testing() only in root path.
* Using CORRADE_CXX_FLAGS instead of our own set to make things easier
to maintain.
* Various cleanup and reorganization.
